his morning at 08.30, after we met, we took the bus towards London. We walked through Greenwich Park. Then, we took a boat to visit London by the river Thames. We saw such gorgeous things and monuments: The Houses of Parliament, London Eye (a big wheel with an impressive view). The diversity of architecture was amazing. After that, we stopped along the Thames for lunch. Some of us were disappointed because of their sandwiches. The lunch finished, we went into the centre of London by foot, where we saw Westminster Abbey and had the opportunity to hear Big Ben. Before going back to Greenwich by boat again, we sang with a black singer in the underground. About 15.30, we walked under the Thames, next we stopped at Greenwich Park where we met young London teenagers. The boys were playing football while the girls were dancing; it was funny. We came back to Ramsgate at 18.30.

e left Ramsgate at 08.30 am for Leeds Castle. We arrived at 10.10 and we began visiting the castle (there were 27 bedrooms such as the queen’s bedroom, the yellow room, the library…). It was built in the 11th century. The British say it’s the most elegant castle in the world. (est pulcheri mus). At 12.15 we returned to the bus in a little train to have our picnics. We ate in the garden. After the picnic the girls chatted and the boys played football with some of the girls (Carpe diem). At 14.00, we went to the maze ant the grotto; we saw birds at the aviary (aras, toucans…) and visited the “dog collar museum”. There were lots of peacocks including a white one. There was a falconry show. At 16.30 Liza related the myth of Dedalus and Icarus on the bus. writen by Anais and Clara

îWalking in London

W

e began this very sunny day with a departure at 08.30 am to London. After walking through Hyde Park at 11.00 am, we saw the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. The Royal guards didn’t move even when we took photos with them. At around 12.00 am, we ate our picnics at St James Park. Mrs Foures would have said: «Debemus edere ad vivendum et non vivere ad edendum». After lunch, we took photos of the Trafalgar square lions. At the end, the best: SHOPPING at Covent Garden!!! We had more than two hours to buy as many things as we could. There were lots of French people in the shops. Then we left London for Ramsgate at 16.30. writen by Justine, Lea and Marie.

oday, at 08.15, we left our dear host families in Ramsgate and we moved to Greenwich. At 10, we visited the Greenwich Observatory, the clock museum. There, we did a dancing battle with young Dutch (they won!). At 12, everybody was hungry, so we ate at Greenwich Park. The girls were dancing while the boys were playing football. The teachers were having a «siesta». At 13, we moved to the Thames Barrier, built to protect London from the floods. After, we stopped in Whistable, we ate ice creams and M. Miallet played rugby with the boys. At 18.30, we came back to Ramsgate. Written by Katia
