1. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE The online registration system will be activated on 18th March 2008, and federations will be able to enter riders up until the following deadlines; Deadline for Challenge classes; 15th April 2008 Deadline for Championship (elite) class; 15th May 2008 All federations are asked to use the UCI online registration system. A penalty fee of 10 CHF will be added to all entries outside the online system, as well as for late entries. Note that any late entries can be rejected by the UCI. Please use your Federations personal Login name and password (same used for all cycling disciplines or as communicated separately) and access through; http://www.uci.ch/uciroot/wscdm.htm National Federations that currently have outstanding entry fees from previous World Championships will not be eligible to enter riders for the BMX World Championships and to access the online registration system. All riders must enter through their national organization; no individual entries will be accepted. After the close of pre-registration, all federations which entered riders for the 2008 UCI BMX World Championships will receive an invoice on the entry fees. 2. ENTRY FEES

3. RACE PARAMETERS The 2008 UCI BMX World Championships will be conducted under the following parameters (to be found in the UCI rule book); • Race classes: according to 6.1.002, 6.1.003 6.1.004 and 6.1.005 of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book. • Age determination: according to 6.1.001 of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book. • Class composition: according to 6.1.007 of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book. • Transfer system: according to Appendix 3 in part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book. • Race numbers: according to Paragraph §10 of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book • Number plates: according to 6.1.071 and 6.1.072 part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book • Pre-registration: for the world BMX challenge is subject to the following restrictions: All Challenge Classes (including Masters); each national federation shall be permitted to register up to 16 riders in each challenge category which is scheduled for competition. The host organisation may register a greater number of riders in each limited category, with a maximum of 32 riders. Championship classes (Standard bicycle); at standard bicycle races, in the elite and Junior Elite categories, a rider may only be entered if: - He has scored at least 1 point in the UCI ranking in the current world championship qualification year. - He scored at least 1 UCI ranking point at the immediately preceding world championships Championship classes (Cruiser); There are no restrictions for cruiser races. In addition according to 6.4.005 of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book and chapter 9 of the UCI rule book. • Team competition: according to chapter VI of part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book. • National jerseys: according to 6.1.056 part 6 of the 2008 UCI rule book and §5 of part 1 of the 2008 UCI rule book.

4. ACCREDITATIONS -4-

Please note that each National Federation taking part in the 2008 BMX World Championships must register with the UCI all persons included in the delegation, using the interactive online system. Please visit; http://uci.wingsmedia.it/ Please use your Federations personal Login name and password (same used for all cycling disciplines or as communicated separately). Each federation must appoint a single (1) Team Manager – Championships classes and one (1) Team Manager – Challenge classes. In addition to the Team Managers, 3 Team Assistants shall be allowed: Exception is countries with over 100 entries, which will be allowed 4 Team Assistants and the host country which are allowed 5 Team Assistants. All support staff will receive accreditations with access to the arena and restricted zones, as granted by the UCI. For the Team Manager meetings, only the Team Managers and one additional team representative are allowed. To avoid misunderstandings, the International Cycling Union has decided to fix a limit for the maximum number of accreditations which can be issued depending on the various organisations, which is as follows.

6. ANTI-DOPING TESTS There will be anti-doping tests at the 2008 UCI BMX World Championships. The drug tests will be done by a UCI inspector and a UCI appointed doctor. A minimum number of 18 drug tests will be done, namely the winner and two at random in each of the following classes: Elite Men, Elite Women, Junior Men, Junior Women, Elite Cruiser, Elite Women Cruiser, Junior Cruiser & Junior Women Cruiser For your information, the UCI Anti-Doping policy, rules and prohibited list can be found on the UCI website: http://www.uci.ch/templates/UCI/UCI5/layout.asp?MenuId=MjI0NQ 7. PRIZE MONEY To follow the same procedure as in other UCI cycling disciplines and events, the prize money won be riders in the World Championships and UCI BMX Ranking will be wire transferred to each rider’s federation. Each rider can thereafter collect the prize money through his/hers federation. Note that the UCI will pay first after the anti-doping results have been confirmed.
