Type-2/3 2.2M-Pixel CCD Image Sensor MW39580AE for DTV(1080i) ! Overview The MW39580AE is a type-2/3 2.2M-Pixel IT-CCD image sensor that supports the interlace 1080i HDTV video format. Unlike FIT CCDs, the power consumption of IT CCDs, can be reduced because they require no storage area and high-speed transfer process. Lower smear level has been achieved based on CCD technology for 1035i-format HDTV. Users thus perceive less noise and can successfully shoot night views and other low-light scenes. Moreover, using this CCD extends the overall range of sensitivity of the camera, from dark to bright conditions, because a high S/N ratio can be obtained even from weak signals.
