Das Werk

Agnus Dei pour choeur de femme S.S.A.A. a été créé en 1993 par le Chœur de Jade de Fribourg (Suisse) en cette ville. C’était l’époque de la guerre en ex-Yougoslavie et j’ai été frappée par le sort que connaissaient les femmes et les enfants, devenus butin de guerre. J’ai voulu réagir à ma manière, en composant un Agnus Dei en mémoire de ces vies sacrifiées, et j’ai mêlé plusieurs extraits de textes liturgiques latins. C’est une prière, un appel à la paix des âmes.

Agnus Dei for women’s choir (S.S.A.A.) was first performed in 1993 by the Choeur de Jade of Fribourg (Switzerland) in that city. It was during the period of war time in the former Yugoslavia, and I was shaken by the terrible destiny of women and children who became the spoils of war. I wanted to react in my way by composing an Agnus Dei in memory of these sacrificed lives, utilizing several latin texts from the liturgy. It is a prayer, an appeal for the peace of souls. Agnus Dei für Frauenchor (S.S.A.A). wurde 1993 vom Choeur de Jade von Freiburg (Schweiz) in dieser Stadt uraufgeführt. Es war die Zeit des Krieges in Ex-Yugoslawien und mich berührten das Elend und das Schicksal der Frauen und Kinder die zu Kriegsbeuten wurden. Ich wollte auf meine Weise reagieren und komponierte ein Agnus Dei in Erinnerung an die Opfer, und habe diverse lateinische Liturgie-Auszüge mit einbezogen.
