Construction —4', 8' and 12' fixture housing lengths
Shielding —Versatile shielding options permit a variety of treatments for the side openings.
—Extrusion is reinforced by heavy gauge steel structural endplate supports.
Features • Maximum aesthetic options with eight different shielding choices including standard or custom ScreenArt™ • Direct/Indirect Luminaire • Extruded aluminum housing • Controls compatible • Choice of sculpted or flat end caps • Adjustable cable hanger system allows quick and easy field installation without tools • Quick connect wiring for simple electrical connections • Wall mount available
—Fixtures in rows are joined without the need for tools for either mechanical or electrical connections.
—Perforated steel pinhole panels
—The simple, snap-together post and clip connector holds with over 300 pounds of force, ensuring secure, straight rows.
—Solid steel side panels for uplight only
—ScreenArt™ silkscreened acrylic panels for a luminous body The seam between shielding panels is concealed by an extruded aluminum mullion finished to match the housing to ensure a clean, finished appearance in long, continuous row applications.
—Slotted, specular aluminum reflector controls the downlight component. —For a higher percentage of downlight, the “DRF” specular aluminum reflector may be specified.
Mounting The Avalon is designed for ceiling suspension with field adjustable cable as standard.
—Center-mounted ballasts preclude the need for ballast counterbalancing mechanisms.
Labels and Electrical —UL 1598 or CSA
Finish Exterior fixture finish is powder coat with matte white as standard. All painted parts are treated with a five-stage phosphate bonding process before painting. For other color selections, refer to MTX-1 in the Options section of the Alera
—Prewired with T8 electronic ballasts —Quick connect plugs standard —Damp label available on most models
