Event Operations Coordinator Full-time Operations Manager, Game Day & Events

FUNCTIONS: • To provide support in the coordination and execution of facility, events and game day operations • To assist in the coordination of the BC Lions event portfolio WORKS DIRECTLY WITH: All members of the BC Lions organization and other key contacts, such as BC Place Stadium, Centerplate, and other venue event managers RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Facility Operations (BC Place): • Management of storage inventory and control • Responsible for the coordination of general office maintenance including liaising with landlord and building manager 2. Game Day Operations: • Create and distribution of Game Day Activity Sheet for all staff, including BC Place Stadium • Coordination of show office set-up and take-down, including radio control, food & beverage • In conjunction with Manager, Game Day & Events, contracting of Game Day Suppliers for contra and other requirements included in budget • Coordination of pre game concourse set up • Coordination of pre/ post game giveaways with BC Place • Contact for Pre-game Street Party management team (Terry Fox Plaza and other off-site events) elements including: Entertainment, Tenting, Host/MC, Sponsor Elements, Set-up & Tear-down, Volunteers, Prizing, • Food & Beverage order for Players, Coaches, Officials, Volunteers as well as Halftime and Special Game Day Event participants • Assigning and coordination of game day designated parking spots tracking and reconciliation • Coordination and creation of game day accreditation and stadium entrance list with approval from Manager, Game Day & Events • Assist budget management process with Manager, Game Day & Events • Coordination and support of Field Pass distribution and chaperones • Assist with Alumni autograph station • Event assistance and coordination for Wall of Fame, Punt Pass and Kick Finals, Minor Football Reception and other game day events • Contact for CFL officials, Drug Testing, and Felions on Game Day 3. Special Events : a. Assist in the coordination and execution of BC Lions events including but not limited to:     

Training Camp Fan Fest Lions Den Grey Cup Party Locker Room Sale Waterboy events Season Ticket holder event

4. Mascot Coordination: • Communicate game day requirements and ensure game day needs are fulfilled 5. City Liaison •

Coordinate Lions pageantry with city officials including but not limited to:  Street banners  City street closures

6. All other duties as assigned by Manager, Game Day & Events QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE) Education and Experience • Post secondary education in a related field (Business, Sport Management, Event Planning etc.) • Experience working in a professional office environment an asset • Experience in event management • Basic knowledge of football and the Canadian Football League would be an asset Job Specific Competencies • Must possess proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to take direction well and multi-task under pressure • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Comfortable working in a time sensitive and live event environment • A keen attention to detail and sense of urgency WORK ENVIRONMENT • Some evenings & weekends during the football season as well as specific event related dates will be required
