F3C FRANCE 2016 Euro Heli Series WORLD CUP FAI

1 Introduction The ALM club invites you to an international aerobatic helicopter contest to be held on the

24th and 25th September 2016 in MERY SUR MARNE The contest will be included in the EUROSERIES tour and will valid points for the WORLD CUP with FAI rules.

2 Location MERY SUR MARNE is located in the eastern outskirts of PARIS, in a central position in Europe, and provides easy access to pilots coming from countries of Eastern and Central Europe, as well as from the British Islands.

3 Organisation The contest will be held in accordance with the rulebook « FAI Section 4 Aeromodelling Volume F3 RC Model Helicopters 2016 modified 1st of May 2016 ». Pilots must have a valid FAI license 2016, and use 2.4GHZ Radio control system (FM is prohibited).

The first preliminary round will take place after a random drawing made on site by computer to determine the flight order. The last pilot in the flight order will be called to perform the calibration flight. The same procedure will be applied for final flights. There will be scheduled 3 preliminary rounds for all pilots, and 2 final flights for the best 10 pilots placed at the end of the preliminaries. If too many pilots come, the number of preliminary flights could be reduced to 2. To meet the scheduled timing, the maximum acceptable number of pilots is about 25. Training will not be possible on the field during the contest. There will be no permanent electric power available on the field to charge batteries. You have to bring more batteries, or your own autonomous generator. The official languages during the contest will be English and French. The scores will be sent by email as soon as the score sheets will be computerized. For that an valid email address is requested in the registration form. At the end of each round all the score sheets and classification tables will be available on the competition results website. The URL will be indicated in Bulletin 2. For the score sheets, it will be nice to have an ID picture of each pilot. Thanks to send it by email to the organizer.

4 Schedule Friday 23th September Training possible on the field all day long. 17h00 : Welcome of pilots and supporters - registering - checking of licenses FAI - processing of models. Saturday 24th September 08h00 : jury & judges briefing 08h30 : pilots briefing 08h45 : random drawing for flight order 09h00 : calibration flight, then start of 1st preliminary rounds 12h00 : break - lunch (after end of round in progress) 13h00 : continuation of preliminary flights Sunday 25th September 08h00 : jury & judges briefing 08h30 : pilots briefing 08h45 : random drawing for flight order 09h00 : calibration flight, then start of 1st final round 12h00 : break - lunch (after end of round in progress) 13h00 : last final flight 16h00 : results and awards

5 Registrer rules Registrations will be considered only with valid payment. The organizer reserves the right limit number of pilots to make sure the preliminary flight schedule is respected and all flights completed by Saturday evening. The correct amount to pay for one pilot is 80€ for senior, 40€ for junior.

To inform the judges in time for their commitment, the deadline to register is august 27th There must be at least 16 registered pilots to secure the budget with 5 judges. Access to the contest is free for coaches and other support people. The best means of payment to register is to use « PayPal » with the organizer’s adress : [email protected] . Please don’t forget add 3.5% fee. Registration payment is possible on the site with cash €.

7 Food ans beverages On Saturday and Sunday morning, it will be offered to all participants hot drinks and pastries. For lunch, sandwich/salad on saturday, Pizza on sunday. Allow about €10 per person. For people wishing cooking themselves, a barbecue will be provided by the Club. Saturday dinner will be served to all pilots and callers at 20:00 in a local restaurant. Provide a budget of €20. Registration must be specified in the form please.
