REDA AMALOU, Architect and Designer Reda Amalou graduated as an architect at the University of East London. He founded AW2 architecture workshop in Paris in 1997. The practice has since developed into a high-end design office recognised across the world. The firm’s work has had extensive international press coverage and has reaped awards: Best Hotel Design Travel and Leisure, Best Hotel MIPIM award, Green Good Design Chicago Museum of Architecture…
Reda Amalou est diplômé de la East London University. En 1997, il fonde AW2, une agence d’architecture à Paris. Aujourd’hui, l’agence bénéficie d’une notoriété internationale. Ses réalisations sont publiées à travers le monde et récompensées régulièrement. L’agence a notamment reçu le prix “Best Hotel Design Travel and Leisure”, “Best Hotel MIPIM Award”, “Green Good Design”, “Chicago Museum of Architecture Award”...
With AW2, Reda Amalou has developedarchitecture,interiorsaswell as furniture designs. This has naturally led him to create his own furniture and accessories collection, which is presented under his own brand: Reda Amalou Design.
Avec AW2, Reda Amalou a toujours choisi de concevoir architecture, intérieurs et mobiliers. Cette démarche l’a naturellement amené à créer sa propre collection de meubles et d’objets, qu’il présente sous l’enseigne : REDA AMALOU DESIGN.
The collection combines elegance, simplicity and sobriety. Often inspired from modern 20th century architecture the objects and furniture are designed with a unique formal identity as well as a sense of structure. Each piece defines its own space; the lines are pure and expressive. The materials used range from leather to bronze and walnut, with rich deep textures.
La collection allie élégance, simplicité et sobriété. Inspirées de l’architecture du XXème siècle, les créations sont élaborées avec une identité propre. Chaque pièce définit son propre espace, les lignes sont pures et expressives. Les matériaux utilisés sont nobles, texturés et vivants, tels que le cuir, le bronze et les bois précieux.
Reda is also involved in projects for industrial manufacturers and has designed a glass and water jug for Baccarat, contributes regularly to Toulemonde Bochart rug collections and is currently preparing a projects for Veronese and Bagues.
