UserManual CETest
This manual describes the usage of SKIDATA CE-Test V1.75 and higher. Use CE-Test to verify the functionality of any type of Coder Unlimited (CarAccess and PeopleAccess).
2.1
System Requirements
CE-Test V1.75 requires installed Microsoft .NET 1.1 (or higher) and SKIDATA Communication Layer 2.20 for Microsoft .NET. A USB-driver for Coder Unlimited is included in the installation files. CE-Test can be downloaded from SKIDATA TechRepository and is included in SKIDATA CarAccess Tools CD. Coder Unlimited can be connected by using a serial or USB connection.
2.2
Installation
Enter the Directory, were CETest is located and run Setup.exe. The Wizard will guide you through the installation, which is a standard Windows installation package. After the installation process a program folder is created, which looks like the picture below.
Structure of the start up menu
If you install CETest the first time, start Setup Commlayer before running CETest, because starting it directly may cause an exception. Running Setup Commlayer installs the Communication Layer to your system and configures it for running with the Coder Unlimited. The Installation is done with a standard Windows installation. After this step you can start CETest from the Start Menu. Anytime you experience problems with CETest, try running Setup Commlayer.
