Conference Now Step 17

Go to User Management > End User, and select jdoe user, then change the password to cisco, Self-Service User ID (that will be the meeting number for Conference Now feature assigned to this user) to 0178152001 (could be a DID number reachable from PSTN, or any internal number):

The host key is the user PIN (currently 12345 since Self-Provisioning lab). Click Save.

Go to the bottom of the page to enable Conference Now and define an Attendees Access Code 13579, then click Save:

Remark: every user could have been their Conference Now feature enabled during LDAP synchronization if Feature Group Template was configured for it. To check it, go to User Management > User Settings > Feature Group Template and look at the Enable End User to Host Conference Now option:

Go to Call Routing > Conference Now, then enter the following parameters, then click Save:

To increase the participant number to Conference Now feature, go to System > Service Parameters and select the settings shown below, and for the Conference parameter named Maximum MeetMe Conference Unicast, replace the value 4 with value 10, then click Save:

Activity Verification Test the entry of the host in the conference: Call from Phone1 *1234 (Conference Now feature), you hear: “Welcome to join a Conference Now. Please enter a meeting number followed by #”. Enter the Meeting Number 0178152001 and #. You hear: ”If you are the meeting host, please enter your PIN, otherwise, press # to continue” Enter 12345 then #. The host has entered in the Conference. Test the entry of an attendee in the conference: from Phone2 call *1234, enter the meeting number 0178152001 then #, press # to continue as an attendee. You hear: “Please enter the Attendees Access Code, followed by #” . Enter 13579#. You should be now in Conference with the Host. Terminate the Conference, and repeat the same, but first enter from Phone2 as an attendee into the Conference Now: as long as the Host has not joined conference, attendee hear the MoH defined in Conference Now page. Go to https://10.1.1.1/ucmuser to access to the Self Care Portal, authenticate with username jdoe and password cisco:

Click on General Settings, then at the bottom of the page modify the Attendees Access Code to 97531, click Save:

(Remark: it seems that Meeting Number could be modified from Self-care Portal but it’s not the case) Repeat steps to enter in the conference as an attendee, and test the new Attendees Access Code
