conception, opinion, or image: “Regional stereotypes have been part of Europe since ancient times. Italians are great lovers, French great chefs, Dutch love their caravans, Germans drive too fast, Spanish are,... well you get the idea!" One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type.
