ARTISTIC ORGANIZATIONS

Inventory of Artistic Organizations The organizations featured in this inventory have been identified as firms or companies, yet they don’t belong to the business world. They are initiated and operated by artists. Because they propose an art form that draws its inspiration from phenomena related to market economy, and because they use the corporate model as raw material for art, these organizations are often designated Critical Companies. Art&Flux is a research line on art & economy integrated to CERAP (Center for studies and research on arts - Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University). The research line Art&Flux has for vocation to report, under a critical and scientific glance, acts and reflections concerning what connects the art and the economy. Art&Flux questions the processes binding art and economy in the artistic initiatives embodied by the “ critical companies “. As well as in the other expressions of the art containing an economic dimension. Rather than to be interested in material works, Art&Flux invests the territory of the immateriality and the energy migration between object and idea, between society and art. Equipe Art&Flux de l’inventaire au côté de Rose Marie Barrientos : Yann Toma, Aurélie Herbet, Antoine Lefebvre.
