"Reliability management of technical systems" - Second Workshop on Tribocorrosion The EFC-Working Party WP18 Tribocorrosion, the Commission Tribocorrosion of CEFRACOR (French member society of the European Federation of Corrosion), and COST 533 Biotribology funded by the CEC, are pleased to announce the 2nd Workshop on TRIBOCORROSION to be held during EUROCORR 2006 congress under the theme:

Tribocorrosion in industrial systems, in microelectronics, and in the health sector This workshop is organised in sessions devoted on "Tribocorrosion in industrial systems", “Chemical mechanical planarization” and "Biotribocorrosion ", followed by a poster session. Contributions as oral presentations and/or posters by industry, academic researchers, and research centres are invited on the following topics that are of primarily interest: 1. Tribocorrosion in industrial systems - Case studies in automotive, chemical industry, marine, microelectronics - Basics and technological test (mechanisms, modelling, standardisation,;…) - Prevention, monitoring and environmental effects (coatings, paints, lubrication, cathodic protection, pollution, emissions….) 2.

Chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) - Well-documented case studies - Insights into the synergisms between chemical, electrochemical and mechanical interactions - Advance modelling work and development of predictive tools

Biotribocorrosion - Case studies in dentistry, orthopedics, food, biological sludges, biolubricants, biosystems, - Investigation of debris formation and transfer to tissue - Basics and technological test (mechanisms, modelling, standardisation,;…) - Prevention, monitoring and biologic effect (coatings, lubrication…bio-compatibility….)

An award for the best posters will be presented. The Annual Meeting of EFC WP18 Tribocorrosion will be organised at the end of the first day.
