Hugging the equator in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the isolated islands and atolls of the Maldives are scattered like a jewelled necklace across an azure sea. Offering total serenity, pristine beaches and crystal clear waters, it is little wonder that the Maldives are often referred to as “Heaven on Earth”.

Location The Residence Maldives is nestled on Falhumaafushi, a pristine island in the Huvadhoo Atoll, believed to be one of the largest atolls in the world. Located 242 miles south of Male Airport, it is reached via an air and sea transfer. Swaying palm trees and powder-soft white sands are in abundance here. The island’s natural flora and fauna encourages cool exploration of its lush interiors, whilst the surrounding waters teem with spectacular marine life in vibrant coral reefs. The villages on the nearby islands reflect traditional Maldivian culture. This secluded retreat - 1km long by 120m at its widest point - offers unparalleled beauty. Unspoilt, tranquil and breathtaking, it is a true refuge from the norm.

Concept The Residence Maldives is a Leading Hotel of The World. Its elegant interiors blend seamlessly with its traditional Maldivian architecture. The private villas evoke a pleasingly classic yet modern style, their bespoke furnishings rubbing shoulders with local artefacts and wall-art. High ceilings and French windows ensure every villa is airy and light filled. The beach front or over-water villas offer either a “toes in the sand” experience or the chance to slip straight from your deck into the cool, clear waters to reach your |2|
