HUNGARIAN 2015 BIG-DAY 1of May there was a Regional Meeting in Hungary and like as the BIG DAY in Hungary in 2015.
Exceptionally hadn’t only one target from the Superliste 1000. The goals were no.: 855 Misina and one climb from NATaCHA – Hungary (maybe will be on the Superliste 1000 from 2016) Hármashegy (603 m). This climb is the highest asphalted point and the steepest climb in Mecsekmountain.
The route was a circle with two hard and some others climbs. Sásd – Oroszló – Komló – Hármashegy – Józsefháza – Árpád-tető – Lapis – Misina – Remete-rét – Abaliget – Kishajmás – Oroszló – Sásd
In total 89,9 km and 1380 altimeters were conquered.
Seven BIG members started at 9.00 from Sásd in windy and dry weather. Much members were already present in previous BIG DAYs and only one member was there for the first time.
We were cycling together. The Misina BIG climb a symbol of famous town in Pécs. Our route was in North Mecsek above Pécs. Our first goal was Hármas-hegy. The climb started from Komló and 15 km long. First part was easy and the last km was very very hard with over 20% steep. The height difference under 400 meters. From this point we were cycling across the Mecsek forest. The region has got much more forest and the traffic was low. The weather was very great. From Árpád-tető whole forest had got varied flowers. When we arrived the Misina we could lift up our cyclings. The last part had got a new cycling road near the main road and we enjoyed the downhills. It was a great meeting! Next year we will choose a NATaCHA climb or maybe newer Hungarian BIG climb.
