ERAS executive board meeting – March 21, 2012 Steele Memorial Library 6:30 Attending:

Constitution change: Page 3, Paragraph 1 - was voted on and passed by the Executive Committee. It reads as follows: Exhibiting members; Applicants will submit a completed application form and 3 original works of art (produced in the last 2 years) to the Membership Chairperson listed on the application. Applicants may submit digital images (jpeg) to [email protected] and/or bring original artwork to the executive meeting. These will be directed to the membership chairperson and the executive committee. Applications will be accepted at any time. The actual acceptance as an exhibiting member will be determined by a simple majority ballot vote of the Executive Committee during the October and April Executive Committee meeting. Applicants cannot be present during this process. Active membership begins upon acceptance by the committee and receipt of the annual dues. Presenter Honorarium: The executive has committee voted to increase the honorarium for program presenters from $50 to $100. Exhibit updates: 1.

Venues- voted on and passed to discontinue at Katie’s Café.

Add Sullivan’s Funeral Home to the venue. This space will accommodate 1 artist with exhibit time of 2 months.

All artists MUST indicated if their work is a print or Giclée on their card if it is not an original.

4.

Next year we will use our annual Bank show and bill it as our “Women in the Arts” event. There will be a “Meet and Greet” reception on one day of the show.

The Steele Memorial Library does not want prices posted on the cards, and wants a list of paintings displayed.

Two month exhibits (like the Airport) count as 1 showing. (You need a minimum of 3 to qualify for the Palette Award entrance.)

7.

There will be a “Hold Harmless” statement to sign at the bottom of the artist’s list of paintings for the Airport, Appleridge, and the Library. (Jackie usually prints the sheets with the cards, but you will also find it on the website.)

Exhibition Cards – Quick response code (Optional) If desired, Jackie will add a QR code on the card she makes up for each painting for the Airport and Appleridge. If you would like this added, let her know when you give her your card information if you want your phone, e-mail or Web site QR code added to it.

Membership cards – Membership cards have been made up to be received by members when their annual dues are paid and will distinguish whether they are an associate or an exhibiting member. Receipts will also be given when dues are paid. Directory - The year you became a member of ERAS will be added to the info in the directory.
