ARTICLE 9: Directoire technique All disputes will be decided by a Directoire Technique, which will be constituted the day of the competition. The organisers accept no responsibility for any accidents, thefts or lose which the competitors or spectators may suffer. The organisers reserve the right to modify the formula according to the number of competitors. By entering the competition, competitors are deemed to have accepted these rules and all measures which may arise from them.

Date: Saturday 14 , 2009 & Sunday February 15 , 2009 Location: Halle Carpentier, Boulevard Masséna 75013 PARIS, FRANCE ARTICLE 2 : Fencing equipment Fencing suit 350N or 800N (FIE), with underplastron 800N. Mask 350N or 800N. Foil blade size 5 or smaller. All handles are authorized. All types of blades are authorized: Maraging blades are not required

ARTICLE 3 : Formule two to four rounds of pools. Direct elimination table of 64 with repechages until the quarterfinals. Finals of 8 without repechages: quarterfinals, semifinals, finals In the event of a tied score at the end of regulation time the rules of the French national circuit will apply

Registrations must include: surname, first name, date of birth, and licence number. In order to ensure smooth running of the competition, the organisers may close registrations prior to the scheduled closure date (e.g. if the number of competitors reaches a critical level). Registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis

ARTICLE 4 : Equipment control There will be an equipment control before the competition. Fencing masks and electric jackets will be checked. The equipment control will take place in the Carpentier hall only Friday February 13rd from 12 pm till 10 pm.

ARTICLE 7 : Referees Each club which registers more than 3 competitors must provide a referee. Each club or each delegation which registers more than 10 competitors must provide 2 referees. For more than 25 competitors, 3 referees will be asked. Instead of providing a referee, a club may chose to pay a contribution of 135 €. This money which will be used to provide additional referees. ARTICLE: 8 Licences Only fencers with a valid licence for 2009 are accepted. All national licences are accepted (French and foreign) as well as FIE licences.

Since, to avoid any withdrawals without notice, and in order to give the fencers on the waiting list a chance to participate, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY TO PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE before competition date. If a fencer cannot participate, the fee will only refunded, if the fencer has informed the organiser at least 72 hours before the start of the competition (that is to say before February 11, 2009.). After this deadlines no refunding will be carried out. Note: paying the registration fee at the same time as the registration, is not mandatory.
