• Snap-click Basket Attachment The GD series offers easy basket loading with swivel-free movement using the timesaving “snap-click” attachment mechanism.
• Programmable Timer The run timer can be set from seconds to minutes and from minutes to hours. At the end of the test, the baskets automatically raise and a beeper notifies the user.
• 2 or 4 Positions The GD series is available with either 2 or 4 test positions, offering greater versatility and flexibility.
• Uniform Water Bath Temperature The acrylic water bath provides a consistent temperature within the beaker. The temperature range is selectable from 20˚–39.9˚C and is controlled with an accuracy of ±0.3˚C.
• Electronic Stop Clock By linking the run timer to the baskets, the unit will automatically pause the run time when the baskets are electronically raised for visual inspection.
Smooth Vibration-Free Movement The microprocessor-based GD tester is used for testing the disintegration time of tablets, capsules, and other solid dosage forms. Its functional design fully complies with the USP and EP standards. The GD family of water bath-based disintegrators offers a wide variety of programming options. The ease-of-use and cutting edge design allow for quick installation into your laboratory environment. The uniquely designed cam drive ensures smooth, vibration-free movement in accordance with the USP. Two GD configurations are available: the GD-2 with two test positions and the GD-4 with four test positions and two independent timers, which allow for the simultaneous running of two test methods. Both systems come with baskets, fluted discs, an external temperature probe, and a splash-proof panel.
