• Terminus: ms sensors (automated), intersection of central flow line / lowest point, total: 20’000 (length change) • Snow line: snow covered area from ms & microwave, end of ablation period, elevation from DEM, total: 5’000 (ELA) • Topography: from archives (SRTM), stereo sensors (SPOT, ASTER) or interferometry (ERS1/2), total: 5’000 (inventory) • Elevation change: from DEM differencing and altimetry, extrapolation to entire glacier, total: 1’000 (mass balance) • Velocity: feature tracking (repeat pass ms), DInSAR & offset tracking (microwave), total: 200 (mass balance, drainage)
