Our September club night

As usual our house band Breakthru' opened up the evening with Mark Winter on Drums to liven us up from the cold wet weather outside and test the sound levels with a few Cliff and The Shadows hits. Again I was first up to get it over and done with, my drugs seem to be working and I am getting feeling back into my fingers which helps with my playing.

The Rock 'n' Roll Section

This section featured Barry Gibson (Lead), Pat Winn (Rhythm & Vocals), Bob Withrington (Bass), Bob Dore (Keyboards) and Mark Winter (Drums) Songs were - Twenty Flight Rock, That'll be The Day and Folsom Prison Blues. Then Tony Dobson replaced Pat Winn to sing Peggy Sue and Rave On. The second half gave the players another turn with one number each as time was pressing on. We were surprised with the turnout of players and visitors as the weather was a cold and wet dark evening, also the traffic was very slow in the area due to the start of the world Rugby event nearby at Twickenham. We also had a few new players join us which was really great to see, one found out about our club via the Lemon Rock website which we use as it lists a lot of local music clubs and events. It is nice to know that we are still reaching out to new players and introducing them to join us with an evening of live music. The evening concluded with Terry Scott singing One Night & The Great Pretender Steve J
