The World Darts Federation [WDF] World Cup series shall consist of three separate Championships, which are played between teams representing Full Member Darts Bodies of the World Darts Federation subject to them complying with the WDF Eligibility Rule No 19.00. The three Championships are the WDF World Cup; the WDF Women’s World Cup; and the WDF Youth World Cup. The seeding for the WDF World Cup and the WDF Women’s World Cup is based on the total points attained by a country’s players for all events, in the previous respective Cup. The WDF Playing Rules for the Sport of Darts shall apply to all the matches played in the WDF World Cup; the Womens World Cup; and the World Youth Cup.

PLAYERS Each World Cup team shall consist of four persons, eligible to play for their respective Country. Each Womens World Cup team shall consist of two women, eligible to play for their respective Country. Each World Youth Cup team shall consist of one boy and one girl, eligible to play for their respective Country.

EVENTS The World Cup shall consist of three events : (a) Singles ; (b) Pairs ; and (c) Four Person Team. The Womens World Cup shall consist of two events : (a) Singles ; and (b) Pairs. The World Youth Cup shall consist of three events : (a) Girls Singles ; (b) Boys Singles ; and (b) Mixed Pairs.

MATCH DRAWS The match draws have been conducted in such a way that in the first round of matchplay in the Singles and Pairs events, a country’s players shall not be required to meet another country’s players than once. All BYES have been distributed such that the differential between countries is not greater than one. The ‘host’ Organisers reserve the right to amend the match draw in the instance of a Team or Teams failing to register for the Cup.

PLAYING FORMAT In Youth events the playing format shall be played over the best of 5 Legs, each 501 up, with a straight start, and a double or ‘bull’ to finish. If a match reaches 2 legs each then the match Tie-Break Rule shall apply in the 5th. In the SINGLES and PAIRS events in both Senior Championships the playing format in all matches is best of (7) Legs, each 501 up, with a straight start, and a double or ‘bull’ finish. If a match reaches 3 legs each the match Tie Break rule shall apply in the seventh leg. In the FOUR PERSON team event the playing format in all matches is best of (17) Legs, each of 501 up, with a straight start and a double or ‘bull’ to finish. The first team to win 9 legs is the match winner. If a match reaches 8 legs each the match Tie Break rule shall apply to the 17th leg. The Womens Pairs and the Four Person Team events are played on a ‘Round Robin’ basis where each event is divided into eight Groups, the TWO best teams in each group going forward into a knockout format to decide the final placings. All the Youth events are played on a Round-Robin basis and the number of Groups is dependent on the number of entries. All other events are played on a straight knockout basis using the bracket system.

PRACTICE DARTS All players in all events are entitled to SIX practice darts on the allocated match board before the start of matchplay. In the Four Person Team event this applies to all players before the FIRST leg to be played by each respective player. In all subsequent legs all players shall only be allowed THREE practice darts during that match.

THE THROWING ORDER In all SINGLES and PAIRS matches the winner of the toss/draw shall throw first in the odd-numbered Legs and the loser of the toss/draw shall throw first in the even numbered legs. If the 7th leg {5th leg in Youth matches} is played then the throwing order shall be determined by the use of the match Tie Break rule.
