Reduce the risks from waste HPLC solvent vapour Government Regulations increasingly place emphasis on laboratory safety and in particular, exposure of lab personnel to solvent vapours. The new PreVent HPLC waste containment system directly addresses the problem of waste HPLC solvent in the form of a simple, yet innovative safety product. The PreVent system consists of a 2 or 5 litre glass waste receiver housed in a chemically-resistant transparent PVC outer container. This provides an enclosed area in case of either glass breakage or liquid overfill.

Activated carbon filter An integral activated carbon filter cartridge ensures no solvent vapours can escape into the atmosphere. This filter is coated with a colour change media that transforms from purple to white when the filter needs replacing.

Quick and easy to use Connection to the PreVent container is via a single quickconnect coupling. A pump can also be connected to the container to evacuate the waste without the need to open the container.

This drip-free connector prevents spillage when changing containers and can be adapted for use with multiple waste lines.
