Research contributions Scientific contributions on any of the themes of the Congress will be welcomed, both oral communications and, preferably, posters. All will be evaluated by the scientific committee. All abstracts have to be prepared according to the following points: 1. 1) The abstract must be written in two of the congress official languages. Please follow the overleaf model and use the template file in Microsoft Word for Windows which is available for download from the congress website: http://www.uv.es/Etnofarmacologia. You can also ask for the file sending an e-mail to the following address: [email protected] or [email protected] 2. The abstract must be camera-ready. It should have a size of 17.0 cm (width) x 14.0 cm (height) including figures, tables and references. Abstract must fit into this frame. 3. Please use Arial Narrow as font. 4. The title should be short and informative. It should be written in bold letters, with a font size of 12 points. Leave a blank line between the title and the authors. 5. The name(s) of the author(s) should be written in italic letters, with a font size of 11 points; please underline the name of the presenting author. Do not leave any blank line between the author(s) and the name(s) of the institution(s). 6. Type the name(s) of the institution(s), including the address for correspondence, city and country, in normal letters with a font size of 9 points. Leave a blank line between the address(es) and the body text. 7. The body text should be written with a font size of 10 points. 8. The abstract should be as substantial and concise as possible: the aim of the work, the applied methods, the main results and the conclusion should be presented. 9. The references have to be numbered in the order of their appearance in the text (1, 2); arrange the list of references in this order at the end of the abstract. Abstracts will be submitted in paper or diskette to technical secretariat, or by email in format RTF or word to [email protected] or [email protected]

Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 10th January 2003 Notification of acceptance/rejection: 31th January 2003 Posters Two poster sessions have been scheduled. Authors are asked to be at their posters during the times indicated in the scientific programme. Posters should consist of an informative title, self explanatory charts, figures with text describing the aim of the investigation, methods employed, results obtained and conclusion remarks. Maximum size of posters: 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. The summaries of the contents of the posters will follow the same norms that have been mentioned for the case of the communications. Publication Previously to the realization of the Colloquium it will be published a book of summaries of the lectures, communications and posters. After the realization of the Colloquium the contents of the lectures, communications and posters will be published in the Proceedings-book.
