Main topics Dear Friends and Colleagues, We are pleased to invite you to take part in the 31st International Acoustical Imaging Symposium in Warsaw, POLAND, April 10-13, 2011. The 31st Acoustical Imaging Symposium represents an ongoing event, which has been held continuously since 1968 as a forum for exchanging the new ideas in the field of theory and applications in acoustical imaging. This time the meeting moves to Poland and we are particularly honored that Poland, and more specifically Warsaw, has been selected as the location of the 31st Acoustical Imaging Symposium. As in the past, the 31st volume of the Symposium Proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag and we hope that it will be the most actual reference in the wide field of acoustical imaging in medicine and material testing. Traditionally the Symposium will maintain the informal format enhancing the discussion and exchange of ideas among the attendees. The papers will be presented in oral and poster sessions. Coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception and symposium dinner are included in the registration fees. Participation by students is strongly recommended and the reduction in fees for them is provided
