Results • Initial SNR with 50 Hz: 0,6 dB • SNR over signal after filtering: dB • Linear phase response and 2nd order filter with really sharp attenuation • Useful for fixed frequency disturbance 19/01/2007

Results • Initial SNR of mixed signal= -0,22 dB • SNR notch filter= -0,22 dB => fixed frequency filtrering! • SNR CIIR filter= 1,21 dB • Distortion by CIIR filter(r=0.1): -4,75 dB • Fixed frequency attenuation 19/01/2007

Conclusion • Notch filter: very efficient on fixed signal disturbance • Order 2 with notch filters equivalent to very high order IIR filters • CIIR filter suitable when high and sharp attenuation needed but brings distortion 19/01/2007
