Access to EKF 2001 at SUPELEC SUPELEC is located at 25 km south of Paris, in the Essonne department (91). It is in Orsay, in the Scientific Campus of the Orsay Faculty, of the Paris XI University (also called Université ParisSud (UPS). This campus is divided into two parts : one called "valley" (vallée), and one called "plateau" (exact name :"plateau du Moulon") where is located SUPELEC : l'Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (Sup'Elec). (See map below). By public transport One can also go to EKF 2001 at SUPELEC by the subway (métro) and RER B. Take the RER B (in Paris at any of these stations : Gare du Nord, Chatelet, Cité, Luxembourg, Port-Royal, DenfertRochereau or Cité Universitaire) in direction of SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE. Choose the train which stops at LE GUICHET STATION (indicated by light signals on the platforms). At LE GUICHET STATION, a bus will take you to the LIMSI, near the SUPELEC stop (every 20 minutes the bus is on the car park, after the bar). It takes about 40 minutes to come from the centre of Paris. Hopefully, a special EKF 2001 shuttle will be available, and in any case "mato" signs will indicate the path for walking to SUPELEC (1/2 hour walk). From the airport EKF 2001 at SUPELEC is near Orly airport (15 minutes by car). It is also possible to take the VAL until the ANTONY STATION where there is the RER B (about half an hour). From the Roissy airport (north of Paris), by car, take the "périphérique" and by the RER B, until "Le Guichet" station (see “By public transport” above).
By car a) Coming from PARIS, by N118 ROAD, starting from Pont de Sèvres, follow the direction CHARTRES until the EXIT n° 9 CENTRE UNIVERSITAIRE (just after the exit Saclay) and at the traffic circle, follow the direction FACULTE DES SCIENCES, then the signs SUPELEC. b) Coming from PARIS, by A6 MOTORWAY, take A10 MOTORWAY direction CHARTRES until VALLEE DE CHEVREUSE EXIT, then take ORSAY EXIT. Follow N118 ROAD, until the EXIT n° 9 CENTRE UNIVERSITAIRE (just after the exit Saclay) and at the traffic circle, follow the direction FACULTE DES SCIENCES, then the signs SUPELEC. c) Coming from the SOUTH, by A10 MOTORWAY (entrance at Porte d’Orléans or Porte d’Italie, on the périphérique, follow the direction CHARTRES until the EXIT VERSAILLES. Then follow the SACLAY direction, and ORSAY. Cross the N118 ROAD and at the traffic circle, follow the direction FACULTE DES SCIENCES, then the signs SUPELEC. d) Coming from the SOUTH, by A6 MOTORWAY, take N104 ROAD (the Francilienne) and follow the direction VERSAILLES until crossing with A10 MOTORWAY. Then follow the direction CHARTRES until the EXIT VERSAILLES. Then follow the SACLAY direction, and ORSAY. Cross the N118 ROAD and at the traffic circle, follow the direction FACULTE DES SCIENCES, then the signs SUPELEC.
