ABSTRACT

CPPHC is a pan-Canadian comparative policy and program analysis that examines how services in primary health care, social services, public health and community health connect to one another or are integrated to support the continuity of care of people with complex care needs, such as older adults experiencing functional decline or children, youth and young adults with high functional needs. Findings regarding how Canada is moving toward realizing Primary Health Care will be presented.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Emilie Dionne is an Associate scientist at the St. Mary’s Research Centre. Her research is on vulnerability in health care practices, care ethics and access to care for vulnerable people. She also has expertise in feminist and intersectional approaches to research and qualitative methodology and is trained as a socio-political theorist.

St. Mary’s Research Centre seminar series has a strong commitment towards the education of the hospital’s staff, of its patients, and of the neighbouring community. The research center hosts bi-weekly seminars OPEN TO EVERYONE.
