Grands Vins de Bordeaux
Château Le Doyenné
Premières Côtes de Bordeaux - 2003 Robert Parker says of Chateau Le Doyenné 2001: One of the finest, consistently well-made, less expensive Bordeaux offerings (thanks to the abilities of consulting oenologist Michel Rolland), this blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc reveals a dark ruby color in addition to a big, spicy, perfumed nose of cedar, fruit cake, spice box, and red as well as black currants. It possesses admirable texture, supple tannin, and a fruit-driven personality with no hard edges. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years.
The Vineyard : The Vineyard of Château le Doyenné is a single parcel of vines which is surprisingly rare! Dominique Watrin uses Classified Growth winemaking techniques to make her famous wine. It is often recognised as one of the finest wines of its category by Robert Parker. A touch of Michel Rolland’s genious goes into the winemaking. •Surface : 8 Hectares •Gravel plateau surrounded by clay/chalk hills. •Average age of vines : 40 ans •Southern facing vineyard •Yield : 40 hl / ha Harvest : •Manual de-leafing followed by a manual harvest and sorting process •All of the harvesting is carried out by parcel to stay true to the quality of each soil type and grape variety.
Winemaking : All in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Grape Varieties : •70% Merlots •20% Cabernet Sauvignon •10 % Cabernet Franc •5500 pieds / Ha Ageing : •In oak barrels : 30% new oak, 30% 1 year old barrels. •Fining with egg white.

Grands Vins de Bordeaux
Château Bournac
Médoc - Cru Bourgeois - 2005
In 2003, the hard work paid dividends as Chateau Bournac was awarded «Cru Bourgeois Superieur» status in the re-classification of Crus Bourgeois. Although not many publications have begun to write about the 2004’s, past vintages have been commented upon by Robert Parker, and Château Bournac has figured among the best purchases according to Decanter Magazine.
The Vineyard : •Surface : 14 Hectares •Average age of vines 25 years •Chalky clay soil Harvest : The grapes are machine harvested and manually sorted in the cellars On the vines : The Château performs a ‘Green Harvest’ to reduce the number of grapes feeding from the vine, and de – leafing to allow maximum exposure to the sun for the remaining grapes which leads to optimum maturity.
Vinification : •In thermorgulated stainless steel vats. Grape Varieties : •65% Cabernet Sauvignon •35% Merlots Ageing : The wine is aged in oak barrels – of which 40% is new oak - for 12 months

Grands Vins de Bordeaux
Château Moulin de Canhaut Médoc - 2004
4,75 €
We are delighted to be able to propose you this wine as one of our new exclusivities having bought the entire production of this wine from the 2004 vintage. Our first 2 vintages have already has success in the Paris tasting competition, receiving a bronze medal in 2004 and a gold in 2005.
The Vineyard The vineyard stands upon the most northern gravel hills of the Médoc. The fi ne Garonne gravel terroir and the proximity to the Garonne river makes it no surprise that Jean Guillaume Prats of Château Cos d’Estournel chose the vines from this area to make his Goulée – a Bordeaux that has an ex cellar value of around 20€ a bottle. Production : 12 Hectares Soil : Grave Girondine Average age of vines :20 years
Grape Varieties 50 % Merlot 50 % Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaking The property makes all of its wines with care and attention. From the work in the vineyard which strives to be as free from any chemical products as possible and the use of green harvests, through to the cellar where a yield of just 50 hectolitres per hectare makes this wine beautifully concentrated. Ageing : In 1 year old oak barrels

Château Belle Vue
Haut-Médoc - Cru Bourgeois - 2004
Limited Distribution 8,50 €
Robert Parker says in the Wine Advocate issue 165: Potentially better than the 2003, the deep ruby/purple-tinged 2004 (5,000 cases produced) reveals abundant amounts of sweet black cherry fruit intermixed with cedar, spice box, and toasty oak. Dense and medium-bodied with beautiful elegance, purity, and texture, it should drink well for a decade. 88-90 points.
The Vineyard : Château Belle Vue has vines that lie next to the mythical Château Giscours (3rd growth Margaux) Surface : 10 hectares Average age of vines : 26 years (although the oldest vines used date back to 1907) Deep gravel provides excellent drainage and slowly feeds the vines with water which avoids drying out in hot vintages and allows the vines to suffer just enough to produce top quality fruit. Harvest : Grapes are harvested by hand Manual sorting table Grape Varieties : 50% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot 20% Petit Verdot
Ageing : 16 months 50% new oak – malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Vinification : Vinification is done by parcels of grapes to ensure the quality and ripeness of the wine. The wine is blended after each vat is rigourously tested.
