Sheikh Nuh Ha Mim Keller The Sheikh will speak about following the noble shari`ah as the path of drawing closer to The Divine Presence (wilayah) and as a method of attaining spiritual realization. Q&A session will follow.

Two rooms equipped with speakers will be provided for parents with children. Sheikh Nuh Keller studied the shari’ah sciences for nearly 30 years with traditional scholars in Jordan and Syria. Among his teachers are the late scholar Sheikh ‘Abd al-Wakil Durubi of Damascus and Sheikh Nuh ‘Ali Salman al-Qudah of Jordan. He also holds degrees in Arabic, Philosophy and Education Psychology from UCLA, University of Chicago and Yarmuk University. His Sheikh in the Spiritual Path the noble scholar Sheikh ‘Abd al-Rahman alShaghouri of Damascus authorized him to be a murshid (guide) in Sufism—the spiritual path of Islam. He has written and translated extensively and is well known to western students of Islam for his translation of Reliance of the Traveller, a classical encyclopedic compendium of Islamic jurisprudence. He has also produced extensive commentaries of several classical Sufi texts including the works of Sheikh Abu al-Hasan al-Shadhili, Sheikh al-‘Arabi al-Darqawi, Shaykh Ahmad al-‘Alawi, and Sheikh Ibn ‘Ata Allah of Alexandria. Sheikh Nuh devotes much of his time to teaching a small number of students in Amman, Jordan.
