These Ms Herti Eliza Silalahi October 25th at the University of Marne la Vallée, Mrs Herti Eliza Silalahi presented her PhD. After the thesis of Philotheus Tuerah (now Rector of the University Negeri Manado, SULUT), of Miss Sri Dayamanty Manullang (creation of the IIC Indonesian Institute for Competitive Intelligence), Franky Tulungen (development of local clusters), Chrisvivany Lasut (sustainable management) and Budhi Prihartono (project management) all oriented towards the development of various programs of Competitive Intelligence in Indonesia, the thesis of Mrs Herti Eliza Silalahi is a milestone in the development of Competitive Intelligence in Indonesia. Herti Eliza Silalahi, CEO of PT BMP developed in this thesis the key points which must be mastered by Indonesia, if the Country wants to develop a National Industrial program. Industry cannot develop without the access to the right information sources. After a careful analysis of the status of information and Internet in Indonesia, Herti Eliza Silalahi presented a program focus on some industrial key points, such as the implementation of information access an analysis for the SMEs and the regional clusters. She also as a conclusion of her thesis second the conclusion of the two international seminars held in Indonesia in Jakarta in 2004 and 2005 and she presented a set of recommendations for the Indonesian decision makers. Herti Eliza Silalahi, obtained her PhD, with the mention “très honorable” . After the presentation the representative of Mr Alain Juillet (HRIE Hight Responsible for Economic Intelligence near the French Prime Minister) outlined how important his the work made with Indonesian students in the field of Competitive Intelligence and how important it is to reinforce the French-Indonesian cooperation. An important delegation of the Indonesian Embassy assisted to the presentation of the PhD.
