Formalities The following documents should be received minimum 24 days prior to the wedding date, in order to process the marriage with the Seychelles Civil Status office to post the banns, as well as co-ordination with the relevant Embassy/Consulate where applicable. • A copy of both Birth Certificates. • A copy of the previous Marriage Certificate and the Decree Absolute, if one or both parties have been divorced • A copy of a previous Marriage Certificate and Death Certificate, if one or both parties are widowed. • A copy of the Deed Poll if one or both parties have changed their name legally. A copy of the first or last 6 pages of each passport, including the inside cover, showing the party's personal details.

D French nationalities in French language : Comme documents on aura besoin (Il faut donc envoyer l’ensemble des documents environ deux à trois mois avant la date de la cérémonie. du mariage au plus tard )   

Photocopie de vos cartes nationales d’identité françaises ou autres pièces d’identité, mentionner vos professions, votre adresse en France (avec Justificatif de domicile) et le lieu du mariage aux Seychelles.    

Clients doivent fournir aussi l’adresse de leur domicile le papier de divorce si c'est applicable le papier décrète du décès si c'est applicable ci jointe a remplir

L’ambassade procèdera à la publication des bans dans ses locaux et, si l’un des futurs époux (ou les deux) réside(nt) en France, à la mairie de son domicile. Après 10 jours. La publication des bans est une formalité obligatoire et permet par la suite de faciliter la transcription de l’acte de mariage étranger sur les registres consulaires français

Apres le mariage L’acte de mariage doit être revêtu de l’apostille de la Haye, à apposer auprès de la Cour suprême des Seychelles. (un droit de timbre est exigible

Les époux devront après mariage déposer l’acte de mariage seychellois revêtu de l’apostille, ou bien s’assurer que leur agent de voyage le déposera, à l’ambassade de France.

Comme vous pouvez le constater, le rendez-vous n'est plus obligatoire, mais l'Ambassade se réserve la possibilité d'auditionner les époux lors de leur passage aux Seychelles. Dans ce cas, nous contacterons les intéressés directement et vous en serez informés. Pour la publication des bans, les documents pourront être envoyés par mèl (les originaux suivront par courier ) Vous devriez voyager avec les originaux de ces documents. Clients have to travel with original documents A copy of the couple's Town Registration in Italy [certification of registered domicile However, for a marriage contracted in the Seychelles to be legally recognised in Italy , Once the marriage has taken place, the marriage certificate issued by the Seychelles civil status authority has to be apostille , together with copies of passports, original birth certificates, certificate couple’s town registration, certificate of residence and original certificate of matrimonies which has been filled in have to be delivered to the Italian Consulate in Seychelles. The Consulate will translate the wedding certificate into Italian language and then forward the dossier by DHL courier to the Italian Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya which in turn will do the necessary so that the marriage contracted in the Seychelles will be entered in the clients Italian Civil Status Register city .( clients comune)

Please note that the wedding will be registered after 2- 3months after the wedding ceremony. With regards to the cost for translation and DHL please liaise with Italian consul in seychelles as this is done by their office.

Certificate of matrimonies to be filled in and returned with the other documents A copy of their Certificate of Domicile [Wohnsitzbescheinigung] is required, as well as a legal document to show that there is no impediment or lawful hindrance [Personenstandsausweis]; if not obtainable, an affidavit is to be signed in the presence of the Honorary Swiss Consul in Seychelles, after the solemn declaration of domicile, as part of the marriage registration process.
